Description

What we've been thinking about:

To lay the foundation for healthy hair growth, you should try to eat as healthy and varied a diet as possible so that our ingredients can also work optimally.

AshwagandaAshwaganda, the Indian sleeping berry (Withania sominifera), has long been used in Ayurvedic medicine and is also gaining more and more attention in the western world. Ashwaganda is a so-called adaptogen and supports our body in restoring hormonal balance and in particular in reducing the level of the stress hormone cortisol.

We use pure root extract with a full spectrum of active ingredients. This contains 5% withanolides.

The Saw palmetto extract is produced from the fruit of the saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) - it contains flavonoids, polysaccharides, unsaturated fatty acids and sterols. Sterols are phytohormones that, among other things, inhibit the enzyme 5 alpha reductase and thus reduce the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It also ensures a faster degradation of DHT and can block DHT receptors.

The trace element Zinc is not only important for healthy hair growth but also for cell division and DNA synthesis. It also plays an important role in the regulation of our immune system. The absorption of zinc can be limited by so-called phytates in food. A connection between hair loss and zinc deficiency has been described again and again in the literature.

L-Cystine - this oxidised form of the sulphur-containing amino acid L-cystine, which occurs naturally in many foods, has several properties.ein has several properties, which is why we use it in our "Love your hair". L-cystine is more stable than L-cysteine and is a component of so-called structural proteins - it gives our hair (and of course other tissues) strength. Via protein biosynthesis, L-cystine can be converted back into L-cysteine and can then be used to form so-called functional proteins. One of these functional proteins is, for example, a zinc transporter. With this, the trace element zinc, which you have just read about, should also be absorbed into the body.

What else can I do for healthy hair growth?

  • A varied diet with foods that are as unprocessed as possible to provide the body with optimal nutrients. Amino acids, iron and omega-3 fatty acids play a particularly important role.
  • Avoid alcohol as much as possible and do not use it as a "sleeping pill".
  • Relaxation exercises such as yoga or progressive muscle relaxation to reduce stress levels
  • Regular physical activity has the same effect
  • Maintaining or achieving a normal body fat percentage, because too much fat tissue alters the hormonal balance and produces inflammatory messenger substances.
  • Try to sleep regularly and sufficiently - if you feel that your sleep is not restful enough or you have problems falling asleep, our preparation "Sleep Well" might help you...

Since different diseases can also lead to hair loss, we recommend that you see your doctor once to discuss your problem. Your doctor can also clarify existing deficiency symptoms (e.g. vitamin D or iron).
